Last night, Jack White performed with his solo band at Chicago’s Radius, kicking off a two-night run in the Windy City. The show lined up with The Black Crowes’ current extended outing and Chris Robinson made his way to White’s gig to sit in for a tune. The singer emerged partway through the show for a cover of Free’s “I’m a Mover,” which marked the first-known time White or Robinson has played the track live. The number originally appeared on Free’s 1968 debut, Tons of Sobs.

The Black Crowes have been both reviving a slew of original material and debuting a mix of classic-rock era covers on their tour this year. White, who dropped his seventh solo LP Frozen Charlotte earlier this month, will perform at Chicago’s Salt Shed tonight while the Crowes will appear at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL.
