Tibet House Unveils Initial Lineup for 38th Annual Benefit Concert: Debbie Harry, Kate Pierson, Laurie Anderson, Allison Russell, Toro y Moi and More

Tibet House has officially unveiled the initial artist lineup for its 39th annual benefit concert, continuing its legacy of esteemed stagings for its vital cause on March 3 at Carnegie Hall. The 38-year cultural advocacy organization’s return to the hallowed Stern Auditorium will bring another expansive program of intrepid artists curated by longtime Artistic Directors Philip Glass and Laurie Anderson and supported by Musical Director Tony Shanahan.

Beyond the experimentalists at the helm, today’s announcement adds eight acts to the 2026 bill. Legendary Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry will return for her first set at the benefit since 2019, and Grammy-winning Americana trailblazer Allison Russell will make her third appearance in the program, following a debut in 2023 and collaborations with tune-Yards and Orville Peck at last year’s event. Other returning favorites include Tibetan composer, multi-instrumentalist and activist Tenzin Choegyal, who has brought the sound of the Tibetan nomads to the event for several years, and the storied electro-acoustic Scorchio Quartet, which has participated for more than two decades, as well as the Philip Glass Ensemble and the Resistance Revival Chorus.

The 2026 Tibet House US Benefit Concert will also boast debut performances from The B-52s’ iconic vocalist Kate Pierson and celebrated indie singer-songwriter and producer Toro y Moi. Uma Thurman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Arden Wohl and Jonah Freeman will serve as the evening’s honorary chairs, and more artists will be announced as the event approaches.

Tickets for the 39th Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert are on sale now. All proceeds from the show will support Tibet House US, the non-profit cultural institution founded at the urging of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to ensure the survival of Tibet’s civilization and culture in exile.
