“40,000 Headmen” is a composition written by Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi, initially performed by Traffic in the late 60’s. Blood, Sweat & Tears later recorded a version for their 1970 album _Blood, Sweat & Tears 3. Back in 1998 when Capaldi and Traffic’s drummer Dave Mason took to the road together after years apart, they dubbed it the 40,000 Headmen Tour. Winwood has just posted a stripped down version of the song featuring himself and Capaldi (who passed away in 2005).
