Soundside Music Festival Unveils Inaugural Lineup: Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Noah Kahan, Fleet Foxes and More
This fall, Connecticut concertgoers can join in the celebration of the inaugural Soundside Music Festival, staging at Bridgeport, Conn.’s Seaside Park on Sept. 28 and 29. Though the name has changed, this third-annual iteration of the festival formerly known as Sound on Sound carries on C3 Presents’ tradition of welcoming superstars from a wide array of genres for summer’s last hurrah. In 2024, Soundside will welcome a total of 20 high-profile acts, led by Foo Fighters and Noah Kahan.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, the festival returns to the spectacularly scenic Seaside Park for its first-day program, which will be spearheaded by the meteorically-rising folk-pop figurehead Noah Kahan. Kahan’s set will arrive on the tail end of an all-but-sold-out world tour, including headline sets at festivals like Railbird, Osheaga, Hinterland and Sea.Hear.Now, C3’s venture on the shores of Asbury Park. Kahan’s performance will be preceded by appearances from Fleet Foxes, Goo Goo Dolls and Boyz II Men, with Grace Potter, Thee Sacred Souls, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories, Madi Diaz and Rijah rounding out the lineup.
Come Sunday, fans can expect a performance from the incomparable hard rock torchbearers Foo Fighters. Earlier in the day, fans will encounter stagings from more titans of music, including Queens of the Stone Age, Norah Jones and Teddy Swims. To bulk the bill, Soundside will welcome Gregory Alan Isakov, The Kills, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, The War and Treaty, Hurray for the Riff Raff and Darren Kiely. Offstage, Southside Music Festival attendees will be treated to craft beer and cocktails and a renowned lineup of some of the finest gourmet food vendors in the region, including PopUp Bagels, The Gotham Burger Social Club, Grumpy Dumpling Co., 29 Markle Ct, The Blind Rhino and Walter’s Hot Dogs.
“I am very excited that Bridgeport is once again the host to this year’s Soundside Music Festival, formally known as Sound On Sound,” offers Bridgeport, Conn. Mayor Joe Ganim. “In past years, this festival has drawn in over 50,000 visitors. I am sure this year it will again draw tens of thousands who will get to experience all that Bridgeport has to offer. This is another example of how Bridgeport is ‘on the move’ as we strengthen our legacy of being the music and entertainment capital of Connecticut.”
