The rumored second volume of GarciaLive has just been confirmed. The release will present a recording of the Jerry Garcia Band’s August 5, 1990 show at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. This was his first public performance following the death of Brent Mydland on July 26. Bela Fleck and the Flecktones opened and Fleck guested with Jerry for two songs at the outset of the second set: “Midnight Moonlight” and “Harder They Come.” Garcia’s band also featured John Kahn, Melvin Seals, David Kemper, Jaclyn LaBranch and Gloria Jones. The official release date of GarciaLive Volume Two: August 5th, 1990 will be June 25 and a variety of pre-order bundles are available. The setlist from that night appears below.
