As first reported in Variety, almost exactly a year after Circles Around The Sun descended upon Relix‘s Manhattan headquarters, the band’s standout, in-office performance will be released on a limited edition vinyl pressing.

CATS’ set (out Feb. 26) will kick off The Relix Sessions, a new limited edition vinyl series, re-mixing and re-mastering these informal, lightning-in-a-bottle performances at Relix.

“It wasn’t until early in the Covid-19 pandemic that we realized we were sitting on a massive archive of intimate and unique performances from artists at Relix Studios,” Bradley Tucker, co-producer of the Relix Sessions, explained. “It seemed like a great way to help support the artists by releasing the individual sessions in full as a limited edition series for the hard core fans and vinyl enthusiasts.”

The Live at Relix series launched in 2009. Beyond those archival sets, future vinyl releases may be drawn from future performances at the former Jazz Standard which will be streaming via the Relix Channel on Twitch.”

Upcoming releases by The Relix Sessions will include Billy Strings, Goose, Liz Cooper and the Stampede and more.

Circles Around The Sun’s Relix Session will be available starting Feb. 26.
