Brandon “TAZ” Niederauer has unveiled his debut original single, “Say Something,” via Greater Than Distribution. Following graduation from Yale University, the New York native teamed up with Theron “Neff-U” Feemster, a Grammy Award-winning producer known for his work with artists such as Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, Kendrick Lamar, Train, and others. The first-time release from the 22-year-old guitar prodigy arrives as an added complement to the season, a summertime single, tinged with elements of rock, pop, and R&B.

Niederauer’s experience is informed by his impressive repertoire of live performances, having collaborated and shared the stage with the likes of  Lady Gaga, Jon Batiste, Stevie Nicks, Quinn XCII, Mac DeMarco, Gary Clark Jr., Slash, The Revivalists, Buddy Guy, and a plethora of Allman Brother Band members, such as Gregg Allman, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Butch Trucks, and Oteil Burbridge.

After picking up the guitar at age 8 and securing a coveted national television debut two years later on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, at 10, he continued to capture attention in the years that followed on other programs like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Good Morning America, The View, Austin City Limits, and the Tony Awards.

The guitarist also expanded his resume by appearing on Broadway, in the film Saturday Night, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live on NBC, and Spike Lee’s Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It, in addition to other roles that have broadened his experiences.

Landing at the current moment, and the first time arrival of original music, Niederauer said of the single, “‘Say Something’ is an energetic song about the anxious moments before and after a fight with a loved one. With this release, I’m launching my career as an artist; I couldn’t be more excited to finally introduce my sound to the world.”
