God Street Wine have both confirmed a new studio album and fleshed out their Halloween plans. The quintet will release The Method, their first full-length LP since 2019’s This Fine Town, on Friday, October 30 and celebrate with an album-release show at New York’s Gramercy Theater. God Street Wine recorded The Method at Woodstock, NY’s Utopia Studios this past March, tracking the 11-song set live in front of a studio audience and running through each track twice. They then brought a handful of the new numbers on the road during their recent summer tour.

In addition to the October 30 show, GSW will round out their Halloween weekend back in Woodstock with shows at the Bearsville Theater on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1. Their Halloween theme will be “Ghosts of Wetlands Past,” with the band promising to pay tribute to the New York venue that nurtured them in the ’90s with a “journey back in time” to the Tribeca haunt.

The New York-bred God Street Wine were regulars at Wetlands for years, playing their final shows at the club before breaking up in 1999 and regrouping for the jamband incubator’s final stretch of concerts two years later. More recently, GSW debuted a song by another Wetlands alum, Phish, on their recent outing and also introduced new covers by acts that set the stage for Wetlands like Pink Floyd and the members of the Grateful Dead during the run.
