This Friday, September 7, Phil Lesh will team up with a group of Very Special Friends for a benefit concert event at New York’s famed Apollo Theater, and the performance will be streamed live for free via The Relix Channel

Don’t Tell Me This Country Ain’t Got No Heart: A Benefit for Voter Participation, presented by HeadCount and Dayglo Presents, will see Lesh join forces with the Harlem Gospel Choir The Terrapin Family Band (featuring Grahame Lesh, Jason Crosby, Ross James and Alex Koford), plus Nicki Bluhm, Eric Krasno, Talib Kweli and Robert Randolph.

The benefit concert will support HeadCount and its voter-registration efforts, including events at high schools and colleges, along with “The Future is Voting” campaign and many local community organization initiatives. HeadCount will also be running voter-registration drives at the Apollo’s Amateur Night for the next six weeks.
