Dogfish Head Craft Brewery to Unveil Relix Collaboration Pan-Am-Jam-Band Beer During Analog-A-Birthday Events
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is forecasting its 30th anniversary with a weekend-long celebration, dubbed Analog-A-Birthday, an expansion of the annual Analog-A-Go-Go Event. The imminent gathering is centered around a Saturday, November 8, meet-up at Milton Brewery, a record fair, pop-up tattoo parlor, and make-shift beer festival. The night prior, on November 7, Milton Brewery and Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats will introduce their new limited-edition beer in partnership with Relix Magazine, with samples flowing into Saturday’s event.
The initial Friday gathering will function like a reception for the one-of-a-kind ale, named Pan-Am-Jam-Band, a 5.6% ABV American wheat beer with notes of a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, the natural vibrance of wild berries, a subtle tang of prickly pear, and peach notes that cut any bitterness. The beverage will debut on November 7 and will be featured during Saturday’s main event. Relix staff will be on location for the initial gathering, engaging in conversation about music and brews from 5 to 6 p.m.
“This beer is a liquid love letter to unfiltered analog beers and analog music we’ve championed since day one,” Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head Brewer & Founder, says. “Relix has been a kindred spirit in the world of creativity and live music, and Pan-Am-Jam-Band is our toast to three decades of brewing with soul.”
“Ever since we first sipped Dogfish Head’s 90 Minute IPA back in the day, we’ve been fans. Dogfish Head is like one of our favorite bands, where we’re always excited for the next great release,” said Dean Budnick and Mike Greenhaus, Relix’s Editors-in-Chief. “The opportunity to collaborate on that next great release has been such a thrill. All the more so to be part of an event that celebrates craft, community and the analog magic that connects us all.”
Following the initial event, the celebration will continue later in the evening on Friday, November 7, with musical entertainment from Bushwick’s Dead at Dogfish Head’s Rehoboth brew pub. Songs will also continue the next day [at the main gathering], with live sets from the aforementioned cover band and One & A Quarter.
Ultimately, on Sunday, November 9, the final gathering will take place at Chesapeake & Maine. Dubbed the Recover Brunch, the occasion offers indulgent bites after the previous night’s 18+ craft beer samplings, spirits, cocktails, and record fair activities.
