DelFest Unveils Initial 2025 Artist Lineup: Del McCoury Band, Sierra Ferrell, Railroad Earth, Larkin Poe, The California Honeydrops and More

Bluegrass fans rejoice: DelFest has returned with the initial artist lineup for its next iteration. In 2025, the beloved genre mainstay will continue its custom of Memorial Day weekend celebrations by returning to its longtime home of Cumberland, Maryland’s Allegany County Fairgrounds on May 22-25. Beyond regular appearances from the founder’s hosting ensembles the Del McCoury Band and The Travelin’ McCourys, DelFest’s 16th annual staging will welcome a litany of high-profile acts from the worlds of country, folk, bluegrass and more.

As tradition is close to the heart of DelFest, it’s no surprise that a number of the 20 featured artists announced so far are returning favorites. 2025’s lineup will be led by acts like The California Honeydrops, Railroad Earth, Jig Jam, Mountain Grass Unit and Steve Poltz have long found a home at the festival, and rapidly rising genre forerunner Sierra Ferrell will come back as a headliner. Other fan-favorite groups set to perform include Larkin Poe, Kitchen Dwellers, Asleep at the Wheel, Larry Sparks, The Steel Wheels, The Last Revel and Darrell Scott String Band. The festival will be hosted by multi-instrumentalist, educator, former David Grisman quintet member and bluegrass firebrand Joe Craven.

“We’re beyond excited to bring this incredible lineup to our fans including DelFest staples and some acts that are new to our event,” McCoury offered in a statement. “Every year, DelFest is a celebration of the music we love and the community we’ve built. We can’t wait to share this weekend with everyone.”
As DelFest approaches, fans can expect two more lineup announcements; in 2024, the festival presented 36 acts and 56 performances through the course of the weekend. Offstage, attendees can enjoy attractions like legendary late-night jams, a range of family-friendly activities and the natural wonder of the region, which can be embraced completely with a camping pass. Advance four-day passes are available now, with a general on-sale to follow next Wednesday, December 11, at 12 p.m. ET. For tickets and more information, visit delfest.com.
