Cowboy Reunites

December 13, 2010

Seminal Southern rock group Cowboy released four albums on Macon, GA’s Capricorn Records in the 1970s during the Allman Brothers Band’s heyday. The group parted ways in the late 1970s, though Cowboy principals Scott Boyer (guitars/violin/vocals) and Tommy Talton (guitars/vocals) continue to perform and record together.

This Friday Boyer and Talton will perform together under the Cowboy moniker for the first time since the late 1970s. The show – which is billed as Cowboy/Boyer & Talton – will take place at Macon, GA’s Cox Capitol Theatre. In addition to Boyer and Talton, this incarnation of the group will feature Randall Bramblett (keyboards, saxophone, vocals), Bill Stewart (drums) and Stan Robertson (bass). All three musicians have recorded or performed with Cowboy over the years.
