Circles Around the Sun Announce Summer Spin Tour
Circle Around the Sun will hit the road and follow a map that will lead them east just before the summer solstice. The psychedelic jam troupe, known for their disco-edge and funk-filled extemporizations, will commence their Summer Spin tour on June 19 with an already-announced festival appearance at Northlands Music & Arts Festival, prior to picking up a slate of independent dates beginning June 25 in Pittsburgh.
After night one in Steel City, the group will take their sound to the Atlantis in Washington, D.C., on June 25, ahead of their ensuing stand at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl venue on June 26. Keeping with a strict schedule of nightly appearances, the band will roll into Westport, Conn., on June 26, where they are set to perform at Levitt Pavilion of the Performing Arts.
The California favorites will eventually pull into Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, Pa., on June 28 for their final Summer Spin concert. During the six-stop tour, Circles Around the Sun will welcome support from The Wildmans at select locations, see below.
The four pieces’ new live schedule follows the 2025 release of Interludes for the Dead: Vol. 2. As the follow-up to Neal Casal’s 2015 Circles Around the Sun debut, the sequel continued to draw on the untamed sonic essence of Jerry Garcia, Bobby Weir, Phil Lesh, and Bill Kreutzmann, particularly during their Pigpen era, demonstrating a willingness to push the sonic boundaries and take listeners outside of their musical comfort zones by playing with tone and textures that allowing feeling to propel extemporization.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 13, at 10 a.m. ET. Visit www.circlesaroundthesun.com for more information.
