Behind The Scenes With Umphrey’s McGee
On February 6, 2010 Umphrey’s McGee took the stage at Atlanta, GA’s The Tabernacle in front of a sold out crowd. Less than six months later, the performance is already a fan (and band) favorite. “It was one of the most magical and most energetic rooms and crowds that I’ve ever been a part of,” says bassist Ryan Stasik. “I could feel and hear the crowd and when that happens, I can’t really describe how that is, but it’s the most amazing thing in the world.”
Luckily, the show was captured in HD video from the soundboard and is now included in a three-part documentary on the band. The film was put together by the band’s lighting designer, veteran journalist and former Jambands.com editor Jefferson Waful, and features behind-the-scenes footage recorded in the dressing room and on stage during the night. Also included are in-depth interviews with the band and crew, as well as humorous outtakes that capture the band’s collective personality. Please click here to see the first part of the documentary.
