Addison Groove Project Announce First Concerts Since 2013
For the first time in over 10 years, New England’s own Addison Groove Project is returning to the East Coast for a pair of shows. Scheduled for March 29 at Cambridge, Mass.’s The Sinclair, followed by an Empire State staging at New York’s Drom on April 5, 2025, this set of performances marks the band’s first excursion since a set of reunion events in 2013.
The band’s return arrives under its original moniker, an homage to the group’s founding bassist, John Hall’s father, and Hall himself, who passed away in 2004. The group currently features Andrew Keith, Ben Groppe, Brendan McGinn, Dave Adams and Rob Marscher. Beginning during their high school years in the mid-1990s, Addison Groove Project’s trademark funk, soul, rock, groove, and jazz-inspired sound was active until 2007.
In the years since, Addison Groove Project’s members have taken various career paths–as doctors, therapists, chefs, middle school band directors, and software developers–but always return to their mutual love of music. “Come out in March to see if we’ve still got it or if we should stick to our day jobs,” the band joked, calling on fans far and wide to revel in the rekindled musical energy.
