1991’s ‘Rolling Stones – At the Max’ to Receive Theatrical Release in December
The Rolling Stones’ 1991 concert film, Rolling Stones – At the Max, will return to theatres globally on December 10, 2025. The experience, presented in partnership with Mercury Studios and Pathé Live, is the first-ever feature-length IMAX concert film, capturing the iconic British rock band’s 1990 Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle Tour.
In the film, the band—Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Charlie Watts, and Bill Wyman—traverse a European tour landscape and perform a plethora of greatest hits across three countries: Italy (July 28), England (August 24–25), and Germany (August 13–14), over five nights. Receiving on-screen attention are beloved tracks like “Start Me Up,” “Tumbling Dice,” “Ruby Tuesday,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Paint It Black,” “Sympathy for the Devil,” and “It’s Only Rock ’n’ Roll (But I Like It),” as well as deeper cuts like “2000 Light Years From Home.”
The imminent theatrical return of Rolling Stones – At the Max ends an 18-year lapse since it was last offered on the big screen. While the movie debuted in 1991, a year after filming, it also received a cinematic re-release in 2007.
Tickets for the 2025 Rolling Stones – At the Max theatrical run are on sale now.
