To prepare for their forthcoming album Sing Your Dreams – out Sept. 18 – legendary quintet Ace of Cups have a brand new single, “Jai Ma.”

The new LP boasts a slew of notable guests, including Bob Weir, Jackson Browne, Sheila E, Jack Casady, David Freiberg and Wavy Gravy, but the band made just as much of a splash in 2018 with the release of their self-titled debut LP.

The album was more than a half-century in the making, as the Ace of Cups never got the acclaim or record deals of their Bay Area compatriots like the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane, and eventually dissolved.

In 2020, however, Ace of Cups are prepared for the sophomore release, teaming up with High Moon Records to drop Sing Your Dreams and offering Relix the exclusive premiere of the lyric video for “Jai Ma.”

“In this song, I’m just celebrating all aspects of the feminine – especially as she has been diminished and demeaned in patriarchal culture,” vocalist Denise Kaufman explains.
