Conan O’Brien : Live at Third Man

Third Man

When Conan O’Brien went on tour after getting booted from The Tonight Show, fans probably weren’t expecting a full-blown rock concert. But the comedian managed to pull off playing a successful set of covers each night, including a show in front of a small audience at Jack White’s Third Man Records in Nashville, Tenn. Third Man recorded the show, immediately pressed to it to vinyl and sold it to fans on their way home from the concert. Although the resulting album includes O’Brien and his backing band playing classics like Elvis Presley’s version of “Blue Moon of Kentucky” and The Band’s “The Weight,” his comedy still shines through as he ad-libs and delivers one-liners between songs. In short, it’s good to know Conan has a musical side, just in case he gets kicked off television again.
