From Jan. 8 to March 21, the long-running progressive bluegrass ensemble will deliver 29 performances across the country. After wrapping up an action-packed year on the road, which included a memorable co-headline summer run with Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country and Mountain Grass Unit, the quintet will embark on another with an opening series in their Colorado home state.
Yonder Mountain String Band will hit the road with a kickoff show from Frisco, Colo.’s 10 Mile Music Hall, then head to the Centennial State’s capital for two nights at Denver’s iconic Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom on Jan. 9 and 10. The group will jump to South Carolina for a stand in Clemson and two nights at Charleston’s Charleston Pour House from Jan. 15-17, then head to the mountains again for a Jan. 24 engagement in Salt Lake City. Two nights at The Freight in Berkeley, Calif., on Dec. 30 and 31 will be the quintet’s sole West Coast appearance.
Yonder Mountain will touch down in the East Coast on Feb. 5 for an evening at Utica, N.Y.’s Stanley Theatre on Feb. 5, then work through stops in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Westerly, R.I., and Portland, Maine from Feb. 6-8. Following a Midwest leg with stops in Germantown, Tenn., Owensboro, Ky., Grayslake, Ill. and Cleveland, Ohio from Feb. 13-17, the group will return to the coast for a stop at Harrisburg, Pa.’s XL Live on Feb. 18.
Two nights at Vienna, Va.’s Wolf Trap and a follow-up in Ardmore, Pa. will send the band into a final lap around the Midwest, comprising stops in Milwaukee and Chicago on Feb. 27 and 28. They’ll return after two weeks off with a standalone set in Largo, Fla. on March 15, then blow through Lexington, Ky. en route to a you-closing engagement at Whitestown, Ind.’s Moontown Brewing Company on March 20 and 21.
