Widespread Panic Poster Demand Swells as Tour Opens

Tonight in St. Louis Widespread Panic will kick off their first tour in 14 months. The group commissioned Chuck Sperry to create a poster to mark the occasion and already the demand has been high. In response the group has issued a statement, clarifying, “A limited number of 50 posters will be available at each show excluding Wanee and Jazzfest. A show constitutes each night the band takes the stage in any given city.” One poster will be available per person. The group adds, “We realize that not everyone will get a poster and we are sorry. We would have had more printed if that had been possible. There are no current plans to have more printed. Our best advice is to get there early.”
You can revisit some of the group’s earlier tours in our cover story from the April-May 2002 issue of Relix, which we recently posted to the site.
