Whale Jam Reveals Third Annual Artist Lineup
On Thursday, Dec. 12, Brooklyn Paramount will host the third iteration of Whale Jam, a supergroup benefit show presented by Nantucket Crisps. The Brooklyn, N.Y.-based charity concert functions to raise awareness of and funds for the conservation of the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale via the Whale & Dolphin Conservation.
This year, the star-studded lineup is set to feature performances and collaborations from Whale Jam veteran and Mt. Joy vocalist Matt Quinn and Rainbow Kitten Surprise’s Ela Melo. Additional performers include Sameer Gadhia of Young the Giant, Clyde and Gracie Lawrence, Bear of NEEDTOBREATHE, Brandon Coleman of The Red Clay Strays, and Yoke Lore, who also performed at the last installment of the event in May. Special guests are yet to be announced.
Due to climate change and shifting ecological concerns, the North Atlantic Right Whale could face species extinction as soon as 2037–that is if we decline necessary steps toward conservation efforts.
December’s Whale Jam will bring together eco-minded musicians and fans for an evening of charity and music, with proceeds going towards protecting the North Atlantic Right Whale. To learn more about the Whale & Dolphin Conservation, visit its official website.
