Watch Willie Nelson and Kacey Musgraves Sing “Rainbow Connection” on the CMA Awards

On Nov. 13, the CMA Awards hosted a variety of artists from Nashville and beyond.
Undoubtedly, one of the evening’s highlights was a duet between country legend Willie Nelson and rising star Kacey Musgraves on the classic Muppets tune “Rainbow Connection.”
This marks the second time in recent memory that “Rainbow Connection” appeared on a major stage; at Newport Folk Festival this year Kermit the Frog himself sang the tune with Jim James.
At the CMA Awards, the pair sang the tune with both heart and skill. Afterwards, you can see Nelson’s brief, but meaningful review of the performance: “Beautiful.”
