Watch: The Rolling Stones Welcome Tyler Childers on “Dead Flowers” Tour Debut in Orlando

The Rolling Stones continues its Hackney Diamonds tour on Monday, June 3. The referred English rock group’s latest appearance occurred at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., where they brought out a special guest to assist on Sticky Fingers originator, country-tinged “Dead Flowers.” The team-up took place during the night’s sixth slot on the setlist with the arrival of Tyler Childers, who strummed and sang beside Mick Jagger.

Before Childers’ arrival, The Rolling Stones started their show in a typical manner given previous trends, with “Start Me Up” and “Get Off My Cloud” used to fire up the crowd ahead of the unannounced sit-in. Just before Childers turned up on the Sunshine State stage, The Rolling Stones offered a tour debut of “She’s a Rainbow,” the song doubled as the fan-voted pick, beating out “Bite My Head Off,” “Out of Control” and “Rocks Off” during the voting process.

Notably, since its debut five decades ago, The Stones have only played “She’s a Rainbow” only 22 times. Prior to Monday’s bust out, it was last played on June 25, 2022. To follow, Childers strode out on stage with his acoustic guitar slung around his neck, meeting Mick Jagger at the center. Brief instrumentals gave way to the bandleader’s country best, with a Southern draw akin to a time and place in rock history when English bands were applying a honky tonk flair to their originals (think The Beatles’ “Rocky Raccoon,” The Rolling Stones’ “Far Away Eyes”).

The Rolling Stones team-up with Childers made regional sense, given the overlap in both bands’ Florida tour stops, including Childers’ impending appearance at Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Fla., on Wednesday, June 5, and The Stones’ Monday night performance.
