Last night, Roger Daltrey closed out his tenure as the musical curator of the annual Teenage Cancer Trust events at London’s Royal Albert Hall from March 18 through 24. Daltrey’s ovation to the 24-year-long stint featured added help from Kelly Jones, Robert Plant, Pete Townshend, Eddie Vedder and more. As a finale, the esteemed artists delivered The Who classic, “Baba O’Riley.”

Sunday’s joint cover was captured via fan-shot videos shared on YouTube. Before the high-profile collaboration, Daltrey worked through a series of eight songs, with added help throughout the performance, beginning with Who bandmate Pete Townshend-penned “Let My Love Open the Door.” Next, Daltry and company moved into the fan favorite, “Squeeze Box,” and Leo Sayers’ “The Way It Is.”

Pete’s younger brother, Simon Townshend, arrived on the stage next, assisting the group of musicians through his own song, “The Way It Is.” “After the Fire” crackled before an ensuing take on Taj Mahal’s “Freedom Ride.” For Daltrey’s final stand as the event principal, he ran through “Without Our Love,” which preluded the climax, a collaborative take on fan favorite “Baba O’Riley,” with added help from Plant, Vedder, Hansard, and Jones. The collective of talent emphasized the “teenage wasteland” lyrics– sung back by the audience.
