Watch: Regina Spektor Showcases New Tracks on NPR Tiny Desk Concert

Regina Spektor stopped by the NPR offices to perform a handful of songs fresh off her new album Home, before and after, along with some fan favorites off Begin to Hope at an in-person Tiny Desk Concert.

Spektor started the performance with an impromptu acapella song she wrote on her way into the office: “Took a train from New York to D.C./ And everyone was coughing on me/ But I wore a real tight mask/ And got myself a negative COVID test/ So that I could sing to you behind this tiny desk,” she sang solo with a cheeky grin, the staff responded with laugher.

Spektor then moved into cuts off her new album, including “Loveology” and Becoming All Alone.” She performed the songs solo with an upright piano and her voice alone. For the second half of her Tiny Desk, the Russian-American singer, songwriter, and pianist performed three standouts from her 2006 LP Begin to Hope, including “Après Moi,” “Samson,” and her beloved single “Fidelity.”

Spektor is currently on tour across the U.S. find tickets here.
