Back on April 9, 2022, SKULL & ROSES festival welcomed Melvin Seals and JGB as headliners at the legendary Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, Calif., and in celebration of the festival’s return for its fifth edition in 2023 – proposed for April 19-23 – Relix and SKULL & ROSES are rolling out pro-shot videos of the headliners over the next four weeks.

The first video, which was released on YouTube on Nov. 4, showcases Melvin Seals and JGB revel through the title track of Jerry Garcia Band’s 1978 LP Cats Under The Stars. The soulful and methodical rendition serves as the perfect representation of the festival, which celebrates the music, history, imagery and legacy of the Grateful Dead. Other performances on that day included sets by Big Steve & The Assbites From Hell, Circles Around The Sun, Cubensis, and more.
