Watch: New Trailer for ‘Bono: Stories of Surrender’ Movie

The official trailer for the new Apple Original Films production, Bono: Stories of Surrender, has unveiled a brazen and lyrical visual equalizer for the musician’s solo live show, which was billed under the same name and based on his 2022-released memoir. The film adaptation is slated to premiere on May 30, 2025, on Apple Vision Pro.

The video vividly enhances the rendering of the U2 leader’s one-person performance, Stories of Surrender: An Evening of Words, Music and Some Mischief…, where he shares personal tales of his exceptional path, involving friends, family, and his unwavering faith—the revealing program journeys through Bono’s titles as son, father, husband, musician and activist.

In addition to the tropes above, the artist offers fans and viewers the opportunity to experience never-before-seen video footage from his 11-show run at New York’s Beacon Theatre, which took place in 2023. Bono also performs select songs that touch on his U2 legacy, offering a poignant glimpse into his artistic capacity.

Also slated to arrive on May 30 is Bono: Stories of Surrender (Immersive), the first feature-length film offered on Apple Immersive Video, a new media format recorded in 8K with Spatial Audio. This system allows viewers to view a 180-degree video of the musician next to them.
