Watch: Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood Perform a ‘Foreign Tongues’ Track and a Classic Stones Tune in London
Yesterday in London, Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood appeared at a special event celebrating the Friday release of the new Rolling Stones album Foreign Tongues. The gathering, which took place at The St. Clements Hotel in London was billed as a listening party. However, the audience was not only treated to the new album but also a live performance from Jagger and Wood.
The two musicians appeared on a small stage in this intimate setting for a short set. Jagger and Wood opened with “Ringing Hollow” from Foreign Tongues. They then performed versions of “Dead Flowers” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
The event also included a special light show staged over the River Thames. More than 500 drones were utilized to create the Rolling Stones iconic tongue logo as well as the album artwork.
Foreign Tongues finds Jagger, Wood and Keith Richards working once again with producer Andrew Watt, who also served in that role on Hackney Diamonds. The album also features Stones touring members Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford and Steve Jordan as well as special guests Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith and Chad Smith.
