Watch: JENNIE Joins Tame Impala in Boston

9:22 AM EDT on August 1, 2026

Tame Impala are currently enjoying a pop-culture moment thanks to K-pop star JENNIE's remix of "Dracula." The song originally appeared on last year's Deadbeat, Tame Impala's fifth studio album, and quickly became the psych-rock group's first track to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Then, on February 6, JENNIE, who is best known as a singer in the South Korean group BLACKPINK, released her remix of the tune, which boasts her vocals and emerged as unexpected TikTok breakout. The remix peaked at No. 2. on the Billboard Global Chart, making it Tame Impala's first Top 10 hit.

While touring in support of Deadbeat, Kevin Parker and Tame Impala have played "Dracula" live each night but this past Wednesday, the group performed the remix with JENNIE for the first time at Boston's TD Garden. The singer, who has also included a version of "Dracula" during her shows, emerged 15 songs into the concert for the high-profile collaboration. Red confetti dropped on stage during their celebratory performance and, after they wrapped up, Parker called JENNIE a legend. It was the second sit in during Tame Impala's two-night Boston run: A night earlier at the same venue, Tame Imapla also brought out opening act Djo for "Loser."

Tame Impala will perform at Charlotte, NC's Spectrum Center this evening. For more on Parker's psych-rock roots, be sure to read our 2020 cover story
