On Saturday, June 15, Chris Stapleton took his current All-American Road Show tour to Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. During the artist’s extensive main frame, which racked up a total of 24 plays, Stapleton invited special guests to the stage, including Marcus King, who stepped up and assisted during a pull from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers catalog. Later, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks took the stage, joining the concert headliner for one of his originals.

Stapleton started off his stage time with a series of originals prior to the night’s initial cover and another onslaught of originals. Ahead of King’s arrival, Stapleton added John Fogerty’s “Joy of My Life,” a known feature of his live catalog. On the other side of the Blue Moon Swamp originator, the initial guest, King, took his place to deliver a duet of Petty and the Heartbreakers, “I Should Have Know It.”

For the final joint run-through of this particular Lone Star State stand, Stapleton welcomed Tedeschi and her husband, Trucks, to help with the evening’s presentation of “I Was Wrong.” Notably, Stapleton’s choice number, with added help, represented his first delivery of the From A Room: Volume 1 song since July 7, 2023, ending a near-year gap in live performances of that specific number.
