boygenius have revealed a new collaboration with Gretsch Guitars. Grammy-nominated musicians Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus introduced the new Limited Edition Boygenius Broadkaster Jr., featuring the ensemble’s logo prominently on the back of the headstock. The instrument arrived on the heels of the band’s rapid rise to stardom. 

The newly unveiled instrument was assembled on a comfortable Jr. platform and decorated with ornate details, such as the band members’ engraved signatures, imagery of custom stars, tooth and three cups of fingerboard inlays based on the band’s symbolism. Also included are vintage elements like the instrument’s Trapeze Tailpiece, binding around the body, neck and f-holes.

As a preview, Gretsch Guitars dropped an official YouTube video that begins with striking shots of Baker’s tattooed fingers strumming the axe, ultimately unfolding into the official announcement from the musician, in which she introduces the model and walks through favored features of the limited edition release.
