Last night, English singer, songwriter, record producer and director based in New York City Devonté Hynes, also known as Blood Orange, showcased his song new "Wish" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Hynes brought a backing band for the dreamy rendition off his new EP Four Songs, his first as Blood Orange since 2019, which was released on Sept. 16.
During the performance, Hynes and his band, which included three backup singers, were bathed in red light to create a unique dreamscape atmosphere. Ever impressive, the multi-instrumentalist ruminates through vocals, keys and guitar simultaneously throughout the track.
It's notable that Hynes recently opened during one of Harry Styles' 15 performances at Madison Square Garden.
