After participating in Slash’s S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival, Warren Haynes Band has announced its plans to return to the road this fall in support of their forthcoming album, Million Voices Whisper, which doubles as the title of the impending concert schedule. The 16-date headlining jaunt picks up on Sept. 19 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., followed by a Southern-focused route, with some East Coast outliers.
In addition to their frontman, the band will also feature Gov’t Mule bassist Kevin Scott, veteran Warren Haynes Band member and two-time Grammy Award-winning drummer Terence Higgins, Greg Osby on sax, and John Medeski stepping in for autumn dates. Following the fall opener, the group will continue with Sunshine State follow-ups, including Fort Myers (Sept. 20), Jacksonville (Sept. 21), St. Petersburg (Sept. 22) and Pensacola (Sept. 24).
The band will continue with a pair of stops in Virginia, including Sept. 26 at The National in Richmond, Va., and Sept. 27 at The NorVa in Norfolk, Va. The Warren Haynes Band will take part in a concert at the Township Auditorium in Columbia, S.C., before returning to The Old Dominion State for one final appearance at Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va., on Sept. 29. Next on the schedule is Oct. 3 at the Warner Theatre in Washington D.C., just before a Kentucky follow up on Oct. 4.
Billed as their final Southern-focused stops, the group has an already-announced slot at Mempho Music Festival early in the day on Oct. 5 before a follow-up that evening at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The band’s final fall tour dates for their cycle will take them to Philadelphia (Oct. 9), Syracuse, N.Y. (Oct. 10), Port Chester, N.Y. (Oct. 11), and a final date at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre (Oct. 12).
