Warren Haynes and Gov’t Mule Announce Two Special Concerts in New Orleans
Warren Haynes has signed on to deliver two special engagements in New Orleans this spring. The first will take his self-titled outfit to the Orpheum Theater on Thursday, April 30, and is billed as the Warren Haynes Band’s Dreams & Songs Symphonic Experience [a concept that this group originated in 2019 with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra].
According to the official press release, their symphonic production will follow the trajectory of Haynes’ own prolific career and musical catalog, honoring eras and influential personnel–Gov’t Mule, Allman Brothers, The Dead, Jerry Garcia, and each phase of his solo experiments.
After Haynes’ highly anticipated symphonic return, the artist and his Gov’t Mule band will take their talents to the Orpheum Theater for the final piece of their Big Easy stay, which also serves as the last date of their Spring Tour.
In a post outlining the occasion on social media, night two is described as “A full-force Mule show in an intimate theater setting— raw, electric, and built for the faithful. Expect deep grooves, fearless improvisation, and that unmistakable New Orleans Jazz Fest energy.” See below.
News of the imminent Crescent City stops arrives on the heels of the Friday, January 30 arrival of Haynes’ remixed and remastered debut solo album, Tales of Ordinary Madness, via Megaforce Records. The expanded 12-track set, produced by Chuck Leavell, features already released singles “Fire in the Kitchen” and “I’ll Be The One.”
In support of the collection, Haynes will take to the road for his Winter of Warren 2026 Tour, an outing that promises a rare and intimate musical experience–stripped-down sets that flex all facets of his exemplary catalog.
Fan club presale tickets for the New Orleans engagements will be available starting Wednesday, January 28, at 12 pm ET/11 am CT, with local presales beginning Thursday, January 29, at 12 pm ET/11 am CT. The public on-sale will commence Friday, January 30, at 12 pm ET/11 am CT.
