Twiddle Reunite for First Time Since Indefinite 2023 Hiatus

Twiddle was back in full force over the weekend. After performing their final concert together on November 26, 2023, at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., and effectively ending their collective musical endeavors as a result of an indefinite hiatus, members coalesced on stage during the return of the Frendly Gathering at Timber Ridge in Windham, Vt., on Saturday night, July 19’s final festival staging.
The sneaky reunion was billed as the Gubbulidis Orchestra. It emerged as a reunion between guitarist Mihali and bassist Zdenek Gubb, alongside special guests keyboardist Ryan Dempsey, percussionist Adrian Tramontano. The latter replaced Brooks Jordan in 2022. Notably, he played his own “campfire set” during the Green Mountain State event, the location where the band initially emerged and grew their following, while attending Castleton State College.
According to Jambase, who initially ran the story, the unannounced musical convention leaned heavily into fan favorites. To begin, Mihali and Gubb emerged as a stripped-down two-some, stepping into a rendition of “White Light,” followed by a piece from the former’s 2025 release, Before the Dream, on “Easy.” They produced takes on “Beethoven & Greene” and “River Drift,” before inviting Tramontano to join on the remaining material, beginning with “Daydream Farmer.”
Longtime collaborator, Scott Hanney, applied keys during a cover of Stone Temple Pilots’ “Plush,” before swapping places with Leon Campos for “The Mission.” Dempsey stepped up next, assisting the others on “Syncopated Healing,” “Every Soul,” “Mamunes The Faun,” “Apples,” “Jamflowman,” “Frankenfoote,” and the aptly placed “Frends Theme.” The night’s encore consisted of “When It Rains It Pours.”
