Trombone Shorty Announces Summer Tour with Ziggy Marley, Mavis Staples, Robert Randolph Band and More

Trombone Shorty has shared an extensive list of summer tour dates. The headlining run is slated to begin in June, with an offering of east coast dates featuring fellow musicians Yola, Mavis Staples, and the Robert Randolph Band, prior to a trek along the West Coast, where the artist will add co-headliner Ziggy Marley and Devon Gilfillian to the bill.

Shorty’s impending run will pick up in early June with a pair of performances in the Tar Heel State prior to a previously announced appearance at the annual Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, Tenn. Next, the tour will continue in Boston on June 10 at Leader Bank Pavilion before a show at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, N.H., the following evening.

In mid-June, Shorty will arrive in The Big Apple for a pair of performances at The Rooftop at Pier 17. Then, he’ll dip down to the Filene Center at the Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va., for two shows on June 17 and 18. East Coast appearances will continue before the tour moves to the West Coast. After participating in Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater Summer Concert Series in Vail, Colo., on June 24, Shorty and company will appear on stage at the Spokane Pavilion in Spokane, Wash., on June 26.

Next, they’ll work their way through the Pacific Northwest before arriving in The Golden State, for a gig in San Francisco, which will be preceded by a highly anticipated stand at Los Angeles’ famed Greek Theatre on August 5. The final shows of Shorty’s summer jaunt will bring the musician to Denver, followed by gigs in Lincoln, Neb., and Salina, Kan. The last stop on the tour lands on August 13 and will occur at Irving, Texas’ The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory.
