The members of The Radiators will regroup for a series of shows next year. Billed as The Radiators 2.0, the project will bring together guitarists Dave Malone and Camile Baudoin, bassist Reggie Scanlan and drummer Frank Bua, Jr., all of whom were part of The Radiators throughout the entirety of their 40-plus year existence. Michael Burkart will fill in for keyboardist and fellow band co-founder Ed Volker in The Radiators 2.0

The group’s upcoming shows include appearances at  New Orleans’ Tipitina’s on January 14, 15 and 16, a period of time the Rads usually play the Big Easy. Formed in 1978, the band officially parted ways in 2011 but have regrouped for select shows, usually in January and around Jazz Fest, ever since. The Radiators last performed this past May at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Malone has indicated that additional guests and a percussionist may fill out the lineup for their upcoming dates. The Desert Nudes will open on night one while Billy Iuso will supply support duties on night two and Papa Mali will appear on night three. Mark Mullins will also sit in the first two nights of the run.
