The Disco Biscuits have shared an update on the Camp Home Again concert getaway. When announced in March, the jamtronica pioneers’ next destination event was billed as an all-inclusive, four-day musical retreat to Big Indian, N.Y.’s Full Moon Resort from June 17-20. Now, to prioritize accessibility for fans, the group has shifted the event’s venue, offerings and timeline, finding a new home at Woodstock, N.Y.’s Bearsville Theater.
At the newly renovated venue, The Disco Biscuits will condense their four-day program into a weekend run, staging on June 18 and 19. While Camp Home Again–the latest in a long-running tradition of Disco Biscuits festivals and special events–initially focused primarily on music instruction, bridging masterclass-style seminars with the excitement of their original Camp Bisco format, the core of the proceedings is now two performances from the band.
On each night, The Disco Biscuits will present one full two-set show and an additional special set. Night one’s special set will welcome many of the guests initially slated to join the band for a Superjam, featuring ace bassist Karina Rykman, Lotus’ Mike Greenfield, Brothers Past’s Tom McKee and Tom Hamilton of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. On night two, Bisco will share a fully improvised set, conducted by Matt Butler of Everyone Orchestra.
Other attractions in Camp Home Again include daily meditations led by Allen Aucoin and two workshops, with night one bringing a TRACTORBEAM workshop and night two presenting an instructional session on improvisation from the band, both hosted by Touchdowns All Day’s Max Dawson.
“When we planned Camp Home Again at Full Moon Resort, the idea was to try something new and connect more with the community,” the band explained to announce the change of plans. “After hearing your feedback, we’re pivoting to something just as fun, but more accessible and affordable, while staying true to the original vibe and mission… We hope to see you there, and can’t wait to see you on tour for our 30th Anniversary Tour!”
Tickets for Camp Home Again are available now. The Disco Biscuits will return to the road to set off their anniversary run on June 5, then bring on a total of 25 performances through July 19. For tickets and more information on the group’s full tour itinerary, visit discobiscuits.com.
