Last night, June 17, The Disco Biscuits pulled into Syracuse, N.Y. for the latest performance in their electrifying 30th anniversary tour. Following a week of high-profile standalone shows and festival sets, including landmark returns to Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and the newly revived All Good Now, the livetronica pioneers brought tremendous energy to The Westcott Theater and an eclectic focus representative of their refined perspective in 2025.

The Disco Biscuits tore into their Syracuse set with the 14th staging to date of the stomping dance beat “Another Spin,” which has quickly become a dependably infectious intro. From there, the band tore into an inverted “Portal to an Empty Head” and a subsequent blend of the old favorites “Catalyst,” “Spacebirdmatingcall” and “Falling,” bookended by a transcendent set-closing return to “Spacebirdmatingcall.”

For their second frame, The Disco Biscuits lit up the longtime fan favorite “Morph Dusseldorf,” drawn from their 1998 breakthrough Uncivilized Area and remixed for the modern electronic landscape with prominent samples from Charli XCX’s Brat chart-topper “Guess.” In their inimitable style, the quartet of Marc Brownstein, Aron Magner, Allen Aucoin and Jon Gutwillig built the latter set into a musical palindrome, progressing to “Shem-Rah Boo,” “Photograph,” “Tempest” and right back around to their starting point.

As an encore, the group made their formal The Disco Biscuits debut of Sub Focus and bbyclose’s 2025 bass hit “On and On,” which they first stitched into their TRACTORBEAM set at Bonnaroo last Thursday. With inspiring vocal samples and a high-speed rave-up of electro-acoustic improvisation, the band tore off into a final perfume version of “Pilin’ It High.”

The Disco Biscuits will return to the stage tonight for Camp Home Again, the latest in a long-running tradition of Bisco festivals and special events. Now presenting at Woodstock, N.Y.’s Bearsville Theater on June 18 and 19, the two-day fan gathering will include a total of two full shows and two extra special sets. Tonight, they’ll stage a Superjam with ace bassist Karina Rykman, Lotus’ Mike Greenfield, Brothers Past’s Tom McKee and Tom Hamilton of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, and tomorrow will bring a fully improvised set, conducted by Matt Butler of Everyone Orchestra. Other attractions in Camp Home Again include daily meditations led by Allen Aucoin and two workshops, with night one bringing a TRACTORBEAM workshop and night two presenting an instructional session on improvisation from the band, both hosted by Touchdowns All Day’s Max Dawson.

Tickets for Camp Home Again are available now. Find more information The Disco Biscuits’ full tour itinerary at discobiscuits.com.
