Telluride Jazz Festival has released the artist lineup for its 2024 festivities. The festival’s 47th event since its 1977 debut will occur on August 9-11 at its typical venue, Telluride Town Park Campground in Telluride, Colo., and feature 19 acts across two stages. Under the banner of “Music & Mountains,” headliners Christian McBride, Angélique Kidjo and the collaborative Rejuvenation 50! will hike to the historic mining town nestled in the Rocky Mountains to lead three days of intimate live music experiences. 

After inaugural performances by the Telluride Student All-Stars Jazz Ensemble on August 6-8, as well as a Sexmob evening show exclusive to patron pass-holders, the festival will kick into high gear on Friday, August 9. Early sets from Ghost Funk Orchestra, Cool Cool Cool and Antibalas will pave the way for Rejuvenation 50!, a tribute group to the 50th anniversary of the Meters’ Rejuvenation by New Orleans funk ensemble Dumpstaphunk with guest stars George Porter Jr., Leo Nocentelli and Cyril Neville from the legendary band.

On Saturday, August 10, eight-time Grammy-winning bassist and composer Christian McBride will lead the bill, following sets from Karina Rykman, Takuya Kuroda and Marco Benevento. Finally, Tyree Morris and H.O.W., New Breed Brass Band and Say She She will play on Sunday, April 11, before Beninese-French singer-songwriter Angélique Kidjo takes the stage to close out the weekend.

Beyond the packed performance schedule, festival attendees will have access to interactive jams, historic walking tours, free morning yoga sessions, VIP culinary experiences and more. Along with the Telluride Jazz Student All Star Ensemble, The Telluride Society for Jazz will present several other youth ensembles around the festival grounds. These performances will further the festival’s community-oriented mission of providing jazz education for local students.
