Taper’s Choice Will Tour the West Coast in January

Taper’s Choice has confirmed their initial 2027 dates. The California-bred, self-described subversive jamband will begin the year on the West Coast, routing from San Diego, CA’s Soda Bar in January 14 to Bend, OR’s Silver Moon Brewing on January 23. Along the way, the group will make stops at Los Angeles, CA’s Lodge Room (1/15), San Francisco, CA’s The Independent (1/16), Felton, CA’s Felton Music Hall (1/17), Seattle, WA’s Hidden Hall (1/21) and Portland, OR’s Mississippi Studios (1/22).

Before then the quartet will play a handful of shows leading up to a three-set Taper’s Ball Halloween gig at Chicago’s Garcia’s on October 30. They will also celebrate their fifth anniversary with a series of Northeast dates in December, including an official Five Thee Well show at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on December 11. Of note, the band is slated to perform at Live Oak, FL’s Huluween on October 25. The ensemble, who will play on the same stage as event hosts The String Cheese Incident and headliners Geese, are the rare act who has already collaborated with members of both of those seemingly divergent groups—Geese frontman Cameron Winter sat in with the band at Brooklyn, NY’s Sultan Room in 2022 while SCI keyboardist joined the musicians at Boulder, CO’s The Fox Theatre in 2025.
