Sweetwater 420 Fest Unveils Initial Artist Lineup: Umphrey’s McGee, Thievery Corporation, Watchhouse, The Heavy Heavy and More

SweetWater Brewing Company has unveiled the initial artist lineup for its 2026 Sweetwater 420 Fest, set for April 17-18 in Atlanta. This will be the festival’s first staging at Shirley Clarke Franklin Park, the city’s largest public park. Umphrey’s McGee and Thievery Corporation will lead an 11-act bill for 420 Fest’s hotly anticipated return.

On Friday, April 17, progressive rock pioneers Umphrey’s McGee will close out the main stage with two sets, following two sets from Chapel Hill, N.C.-based folk duo Watchhouse, Cuban electro-funk firebrand Cimafunk, surf-indie rockers The Moss and jamrtronica mainstays lespecial. Day two will bring a headline set from downtempo legends Thievery Corporation, preceded by synth-pop duo Chromeo, reggae-rap duo Little Stranger, psych-rock revivalists The Heavy Heavy, indie-pop ensemble Bombargo and rising jam outfit Sneezy. The initial admat teases “boatloads more” still to be announced.

In other Umphrey’s McGee-related news, the band continued to pack their live shows with satisfying surprises during last night’s performance at Bloomington, Ind.’s The Bluebird Nightclub. Thursday’s show included unexpected revivals of The Beatles’ “Baby You’re a Rich Man” and Warren G and Nate Dogg’s g-funk classic “Regulate,” both played last in February 2024.
