Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks will perform the National Anthem at the Kentucky Derby this Saturday, May 2. The 152nd running of the Kentucky Derby will, as always, take place at Churchill Downs in Louisville, with the National Anthem slated for around 5 pm ET and the Louisville Cardinal Marching Band’s traditional take on “My Old Kentucky Home” set for 6:47 pm ET. The race’s post time is 6:57 pm ET. Tedeschi Trucks Band last performed in Kentucky at the Bourbon & Beyond festival in 2025, though Trucks made a surprise appearance with The Lumineers at the same festival this past fall.

TTB have also issued a save the date for their annual Sun, Sand and Soul Beach Weekend. The group will return to Miramar Beach, Florida, from April 15–17, 2027. In addition to the host band’s tribute to Dave Mason and a sit in from Molly Tuttle, this year’s festivities were the backdrop for a reunion performance by Jason Isbell and Patterson Hood. In a post after the event, Mason’s estate said, “The last concert Dave and Winifred attended was Tedeschi Trucks Band in Tahoe, 2025. They just honored him with a scorching (and rare for them) ‘Feelin’ Alright’ encore on the first night of their own Sun, Sand & Soul festival. TTB was Dave’s favorite band.”

Then, last night, Tedeschi Trucks Band performed with Isbell and the 400 Unit at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, GA. During Isbell’s set, Tedeschi emerged for a cover of Wings’ “Let Me Roll It” and Isbell returned the favor during TTB’s show, appearing on a location-appropriate take on The Allman Brothers Band’s classic “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.” Finally, during their encore, TTB also welcomed Zac Brown for another version of “Feelin’ Alright.”

TTB will perform in Raleigh, NC this evening.
