Stereolab Announce North America and Europe 2025 Tour, Classic Album Reissues

At long last, Stereolab have announced new tour dates for 2025. In a dispatch through their Lab Report newsletter, the beloved avant-pop-rock quintet led by Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier confirmed that “new keyboards and guitars have been purchased and will be put to use on the following dates,” a massive total of 61 engagements across Europe and North America.

Stereolab will embark on their first tour dates since 2023 with a kick-off from Brussels, Belgium’s Botanique Les Nuits Botanique on May 25. Through July 11, the group will dash through a total of 23 engagements scattered throughout Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg, including esteemed festival bookings at Cagliari, Italy’s Siren Festival and Primavera Sound Barcelona.

After a few months off, Stereolab commence their long-awaited first U.S. tour since 2022 with a stand at Nashville, Tenn.’s Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on Sept. 13. They’ll deliver 29 further sets across the East Coast, Midwest, Mountain states, West Coast and Texas through Nov. 2, plus performances in Montreal, Quebec and Toronto, Ontario on Oct. 4 and 6 and a booking at Mexico City’s Foro Indie Rocks! on Nov. 12. Highlights within this run include appearances at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse, Washington, D.C.’s Howard Theatre, Philadelphia’s Union Transfer, Boston’s Royale, Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Brooklyn Steel, Chicago’s Metro, Minneapolis’ First Avenue, Seattle’s Neptune Theatre, San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom, Houston, Texas’ White Oak Music Hall and The Bellwether in Los Angeles.

Stereolab will conclude their 2025 tour with a return home to the U.K., where six sets from Brighton’s Corn Exchange on Dec. 5 to Oxford’s O2 Academy on Dec. 13 will cap off a tremendous year. As a cherry on top of today’s announcement, the ever archivally-focused ensemble have also unveiled new reissues for seven of their most celebrated albums, from 1993’s Transient Random Noise Bursts With Announcements to 2004’s Margerine Eclipse. Each album will be released as a double vinyl pressing, and are available as a collection and alongside matching t-shirts for die-hard fans. Tickets for Stereolab’s 2025 tour are available through a Live Nation pre-sale now with code DUET. A general on-sale will follow tomorrow, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
