Saturday Night Live has unveiled its May schedule. The several-decade-running sketch comedy show’s latest dispatch presents a forthcoming lineup of celebrity hosts and big-name musical acts who have signed on to take part and entertain from The Big Apple’s famed Studio 8H. The impending lineup presents a three-week outline of Saturday night slots carved out for laughs and new music.
The impending roster will pick up on May 2, when Olivia Rodrigo serves as a dual entertainer, hosting the live broadcast while also holding down the weekend’s musical guest slot. The pop star’s appearance will mark her debut as a host and her third time as a program performer, following her roles in 2021 and 2023.
The next weekend, Matt Damon will pick up his third hosting title, which comes as the actor supports the release of his new movie, The Odyssey, out on July 17. Joining Damon is musical guest Noah Kahan. The artist’s May 9 appearance will mark his second time as the late-night program’s featured performer, and comes in support of his new record, The Great Divide, due on April 24.
All roads lead to Saturday Night Live’s season 51 finale on May 16, when former cast member and experienced host Will Ferrell returns to his old stomping grounds. The occasion will mark Ferrell’s sixth time as host. Joining Ferrell and taking on the title of musical host is Sir Paul McCartney, in support of his forthcoming LP, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, due on May 29.
McCartney’s imminent arrival at the famed 30 Rock location will mark his fifth time as a musical guest, despite various unticks in unannounced cameos, including appearances during the program’s 40th and 50th anniversary specials.
