Rock and Roll Playhouse Presents Special Father’s Day Weekend Shows Benefiting Rex Foundation
The Rock and Roll Playhouse, a renowned family concert series that brings together parents and children to rock out to classic tunes, has recently announced a collection of special Father’s Day shows set for Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18. The concerts–which will focus on the music of the Grateful Dead–will not only entertain families but also support the Rex Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1983 by the Grateful Dead family and friends.
The celebration of family and music will host will commence at 24 different venues nationwide, culminating in their most extensive weekend of shows to date following the success of their Mother’s Day weekend shows, which featured the music of The Beatles, Taylor Swift, and Shania Twain. The momentum and memorable experiences set to take place on Father’s Day will brighten some of the country’s finest cities, including Denver, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, N.Y., Atlanta, Las Vegas, Nashville, Tenn. and more – see the full list of venues below.
“Live music is the heartbeat of the human soul. It’s truly one of the few things on earth that can unite any two people from any two walks of life, anywhere in the world. To be able to help parents share the music that they love with their children and the next generation is the best part of what I do,” said Senior Director of The Rock and Roll Playhouse, Stephen Grybowski. When asked who has more fun, the kids or the parents, Grybowski added, “It’s really hard to compare! Children are experiencing this music often for the first time in their lives, so the beauty of that is pretty unrivaled. At the same time, it means so much to a parent to share the music that they grew up with and love so deeply with their children.”
Tickets for The Rock and Roll Playhouse’s extraordinary Father’s Day weekend experience for families across the country featuring the music of the Grateful Dead for Kids are on sale now.
