Robert Plant has unveiled the latest preview of his forthcoming project, Saving Grace, due in full on September 26, 2025, via Nonesuch Records. The musician, best known as the principal songwriter and lyricist for Led Zeppelin, has unveiled his rendition of Donovan’s 1965 delivery, “Hey Gyp (Dig the Slowness),” which was adapted from the 1930 Delta blues classic by Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy, “Can I Do It for You,” which has been dubbed “Chevrolet,” in its current Plant-led incarnation.

The latest listen and look [via the official music video] at Plant’s creative burst, “Chevrolet,” bolsters the collective talents of the bandleader above and his chosen company, vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, and cellist Barney Morse-Brown, who season the track with a roots informed approach that strikes it vintage spirit and preserves the sanctity of modern revival.

The track, “Chevrolet,” serves as the opening number from his imminent release, which has already accounted for the arrival of “Gospel Plough” and “Everybody’s Song.” Notably, the set sparked an extensive quest to achieve the final product. Six years in the making, the collection fuses the group’s joint appeal to roots-based music and the space that exists between blues, folk, gospel, and country tendencies.

Saving Grace began at Plant’s home in the Welsh Marches in 2019, when a group of compatible players began experimenting with sound. Once pandemic protocols were lifted, the group reconvened and tapped into their joint expressions, a treasure trove of adapted material that originates from  Bob Mosley (Moby Grape), Blind Willie Johnson, The Low Anthem, Martha Scanlan, Sarah Siskind and others.

In addition to new adaptations of seasoned material, Plant and his Saving Grace band will embark on a tour across the U.S., beginning on October 30. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit robertplant.com/#tour/
