Rett Madison Announces Midwest Headline Tour

Rett Madison has announced a Midwest headline tour to support her latest record, One for Jackie. This run will trail two series supporting Mountain Goats frontman John Darnielle and Bailen in February and March, beginning on March 25 with an engagement at The Encore Room at Uptown Theater in Kansas City, Mo. From there, Madison will make five consecutive stops before a final set at Zanzabar in Louisville, Ky., on April 2.
Alongside Darnielle, Madison will make West Coast stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland, Ore. before joining Bailen at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colo. on March 15. Together, the acts will play another Colorado show at Denver’s Bluebird Theater on March 16 before heading south for a March 19 engagement in New Mexico and three Texas shows on March 21-23. Beyond the first and final shows, Madison’s subsequent Midwest run will include appearances in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Davenport, Iowa and Columbus, Ohio.
Madison released One for Jackie in October 2023 as a tribute to her mother after her passing. Manifesting her raw emotions and powerful memories in gutting lyrics and powerful vocals, Madison works out her feelings and invites her audience to share in her subjectivity. “Writing this album, I was moving through grief,” Madison imparted. “It was part of my healing process.”
On Feb. 23, Madison is slated to perform in The Piano Recital at New York’s historic Carnegie Hall alongside fellow indie artists Mandy Moore, Margo Price, Meg Duffy and more. The event’s second presentation will feature solo piano and vocal works staged successively across two sets for an intimate evening of live performance.
