Relix to Stream High Holidays Celebrations from Brooklyn Bowl and The Cutting Room

As the High Holidays approach, Relix has announced a series of free livestreams for the High Holidays services and musical celebrations staging at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl and The Cutting Room. Brooklyn Bowl’s Rosh Hashanah events on Monday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. and the Cutting Room’s Yom Kippur services on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. will be available to watch live on Relix’s YouTube channel as they unfold. 

The 14th annual High Holidays celebrations will once again feature services led by Rabbi Daniel Brenner. Jeremiah Lockwood will serve as musical director, guitarist and cantorial soloist, leading a house band of Isaac Gardner, John Bollinger, Jordan McLean, Stuart Bogie, Yula Be’eri, Yusuke Yamamoto and Tim Allen.

The evening celebration on Sept. 22 will include a special edition of Afrobeat supergroup Armo’s acclaimed jam sessions, comprising members of the Antibalas/Daptone family and featuring guest spots from Leslie Mendelson, Ben Atkind, Eric Slick of Dr. Dog, Nicole Atkins, Kenny Kosek, Craig Greenberg and more. Sept. 23’s midday event will welcome appearances from Eggy’s Jake Brownstein and Dani Battat. Melt’s Marlo Shankweiler, Craig Greenberg, Eric Slick, and members of Color TV. 

Full artist lineups for The Cutting Room’s Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur morning celebrations are still to be released. All four services are presented by Because Jewish, with proceeds going towards the organization’s inclusive, community-focused Shalom Y’all Jams.
