This summer Relix’s successful, late-night Jerry Dance Party will spread to Boulder and Chicago, following Dead & Company’s tour opener at Folsom Field (July 11) as well as their two-night Wrigley Field run (July 24 and 25).

The event will also take place on May 23 and 24 at Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ, acting as a pre-show and post-show for longtime Phish associate The Dude of Life as well as the Anthony Krizan Band feat. members of Amfibian.

“We’re bringing Garcia’s entire career to the dance floor, for three-plus hours of the most ripping, psychedelic live tracks,” explains Jerry Party master-of-ceremonies DJ JerrBrother. “Undoubtedly, at every Jerry Dance Party, people come up to me and ask, ‘What show was that from?’ ‘What year is this song from?’ I’ve combed through hours of live Garcia tracks to find the best of the best. We leave people with a renewed sense of exploration and love for the guy who brought it every night, Garcia.”

Combined with a unique light show, DJ JerrBrother pulls from all eras of Garcia’s career, with live cuts by Grateful Dead as well as Old & In The Way, Jerry Garcia Band, Merl Saunders, John Kahn, New Riders of the Purple Sage and many more.

“Jerry Dance Party is a chance for music lovers to experience the mind-bending marriage of cutting-edge audio-visual technology with the timeless music of the Grateful Dead,” adds Relix publisher and concert promoter Peter Shapiro.

Previous iterations of the technicolor gathering have popped up at Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, Fare Thee Well at Soldier Field, The Capitol Theatre, and most recently as sold-out after parties for Dead & Co. and Phish at the immersive, psychedelic, audio/visual venue ZeroSpace in NYC.
